Dr. Beckenhauer is known by almost all of her patients as "Dr. B."
She grew up in a small, rural Nebraska town called Ashland, just 45 min away from her primary practice location in Blair, NE. She lived in Kansas City from 2004-2008, while she completed her Osteopathic medical degree at KCUMB.
She then moved to Lincoln, NE to finish three years of Family Medicine Residency from 2008-2011. In July of 2011, she moved to Blair with her family to begin employment at MCH & Health System as a Rural Family Medicine Physician. Dr. B began her "Physician path" just as she had dreamed of while in medical school, full scope Family Medicine. She cared for individuals from newborn to geriatric, ER or Clinic setting, Prenatal Care or Deliveries, Cesarean sections or Vaginal, Procedures in the OR and in the Minor Procedures room. You name it, and she was not only present, but also prepared, to fulfill her duties that she trained so many years for.
She continues to carry out her Rural Physician calling, and has earned new titles and roles over the years as well. She has a PASSION for life-long learning, and promoting health and wellness for ALL. With her Osteopathic Medicine background, whole person healthcare resonates with her. It also drives her passion for Integrative Wellness, Regenerative Medicine, and Hormonal Balance. To further her studies, she has completed courses for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Over the years as a Rural Family Physician, she has served as the Medical Director of the MCH Emergency Room & the Blair Clinic, as well as Medical Staff President. She is a Board Member of the Direct Primary Care Alliance and the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Beckenhauer enjoys teaching Family Practice Residents in her spare time, and has served as Faculty of Nebraska Medicine: Clarkson Family Medicine Program.

Dr. B is honored to be the only woman amongst a household of men (obviously she gets the "Princess" treatment this way). She is married to Jeremy, and together they raise four energetic boys by the names of Jackson, Tucker, Hank, & Rex.
Dr. B believes that everyone deserves healthcare, and she was overwhelmed with the amount of her very own patients that neglected their medical appointments due to cost and rising insurance premiums.
Direct Primary care was her way of incorporating affordable, whole-person healthcare, under one roof and keeping patients FIRST. It allows her to have time with her patients and be a strong patient advocate. Each patient will benefit from her unique, personalized care!
She looks forward to bringing the community together through the promotion of health and wellness by offering community events, such as classes for DPC members and non-members, as well as working side by side with the local facilities/businesses to put healthcare first in our county and surrounding counties.​

Sandy Henry, PA-C.
Sandy is a Physician Assistant who emphasizes that it is "NEVER too late" to start a new journey/path in life. In the late Fall of 2024, she moved to Blair, along with her husband Brian, from Albion, NE. She then began her employment with the HH in November 2024. Sandy spent her early years in the very small town of Abie that has LESS than 100 residents! She attended high school at David City Aquinas and then later received her BS, Biological Sciences, degree at UNL. It was there where she encountered her first physician assistant and that became her next goal. She attended UNMC, where she received her degree as a Physician Assistant in medicine. Coming from Abie, she was drawn to a small, rural Nebraska community and began employment at the rural clinic/hospital, Boone County Health Center in Albion, for 33 years. Over the next 30+ years, she assessed patients in MANY settings, such as the clinic, ER, hospital and operating room. After many years of dedication to BCHC and her patients in that area, it was time to make a change.
​
While in college, she met her perfect mate and they were married shortly after moving to Albion. There, with her husband Brian, they raised four wonderful children named: Hunter, Keaton, Carter and Serena. A lifetime of memories were made with many academic, sporting and recreational events with the kids. The friends in that area remain like FAMILY. As their children moved to various parts of the country it became important to become the hub of the family and move to an area within more proximity to them all.
​
It was by great happenstance that she was able to meet Dr. Beckenhauer through a mutual friend and the plan to move fell into place. Sandy looks forward to new relationships, new patients, and a new way to practice medicine (DPC, HRT, and More). She long awaits the DPC environment, that offers a relaxed atmosphere with time spent face to face with her patients.
Activities such as being outdoors, planting flowers, gardening and spending as much quality time with her family as she can, is at the top of her priority list.

Fun Fact: Sandy loves ALL types of music. Her grandfather had a polka band for 50 years-the Ernie Kucera Orchestra! Other than her grandfather, her favorite musical artist is John Mellencamp. Her and Brian have seen him in concert 10 times!

Carol Ulrich, RN.
Born & raised in a small town Nebraska town named Brunswick, is also considered a "transplant" to Blair. However, she has made it her "forever home" with inspiring positions within the community.
​
Carol has extensive experience over the years has included, but is not limited to, positions in Labor & Delivery, 1:1 nursing in patient homes, years as the Blair Community Schools Nurse, as well as working alongside Dr. B at the local hospital/rural clinic. Carol was looking for a change in her "day-to-day" and the Healthy Human was just the right fit for her. She has a HEART for Nursing, paired with her love for people, has helped her to build long lasting relationships with our patients at all 3 locations. Throughout the week, you can find Carol sprinkled between our HH Primary Care and MedAesthetics & Market location on Washington Street in downtown Blair, or on a Tuesday in our quaint clinic in downtown Ashland.

Carol and her husband, Tom, have been married 25+ years! They have enjoyed raising three AMAZING children, which includes her oldest son Nolan, her only daughter Josephine or "Josie", and the youngest man of the family...Gavin. College sports, GAME DAYS, keep this family very busy...so, if Carol is not greeting you at an HH location with a smile and/or hug, then you will most likely find her in the college "grand stands."

Whitney Mlnarik, RN.
This RN is a TRUE "Blair Bear" through and through. Whitney was raised locally, attended high school and graduated from Blair. After highschool, off she went to attend the College of Saint Mary for her Nursing degree. She has worked in a multitude of settings, which is what makes Whitney the "right RN for the job." She has can handle difficult medical tasks with confidence and ease, as well as sit down and befriend those that are sitting in her IV chair. She has a natural ability to shine.
​
She has held RN positions at the local rural hospital, as well as in urban settings with an Oncology group, nursing homes, ERs, Family Practice clinics, Specialty & Infusion clinic, and more. She has history working alongside Dr. B at MCHHS, before meeting back up again in the summer of 2021 to join the Healthy Human. Whitney started with the Healthy Human to grow the Infusion services with offerings such as Iron infusions, IV Vitamin/Nutrition Therapy, Injectables, and more. Whitney is a perfect fit for the HH, and we applaud her for her knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism.
​
Whitney is married to Marcus, and they enjoy being outdoors with their family. They both spend time coaching the kids sporting teams. Her daughter, Reece, and her bundle of energy boy, Dax, are both "go-getters" like their mother. Whitney is always running, may it be at home or in the HH...she is a one BUSY mama.
Brooke Craig, Receptionist, Medical Admin Assistant & HH Market Manager.
Brooke was raised in the same small Nebraska town as Dr. B, Ashland, NE. She attended Ashland-Greenwood highschool and graduated with Dr. B. She happened upon employment at the HH in 2020, as a Receptionist, after providing Nanny services to Dr. B's youngest son, Rex, during very difficult daycare times due to COVID. She entered the HH with a smile, as she does wherever she goes, and quickly learned medical lingo, medical tasking, and more as she worked her way into many new roles at the HH. She can be found answering phones, stocking shelves and taking inventory, assisting the Nursing staff or the Providers with room set up and tear down, as well as operating and managing the HH Market. She can do all of this and then some! We do not know what we would do without Brooke!

Brooke has a lengthy background in Customer Service, Managing Retail and Food Services, and much more. However, the Healthy Human clinics and HH Market have truly become her HOME and we could not be happier. FUN FACT: Brooke once held a position as a Country School Teacher, in a one room schoolhouse, outside of Memphis, NE before it was closed down due to low volumes and changing educational times.

When Brooke is not jumping around to all 3 HH clinics/locations, she is found spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Doug, and her 3 children. Her oldest is Cooper, and her two daughters follow, Olivia & Kaia. On top of motherhood, she became a Grandma when her granddaughter, Everest, was born in 2024. They reside in Ashland, and love being part of a small, yet thriving, community.
Julia Lewis, Receptionist & Medical Admin Assistant.
Julia joined us in December 2024, as we were looking to add more staff to help at the Direct Primary Care clinic as we added our PA-C, Sandy to the team. Julia trained with Brooke, at Ashland & Blair locations, and quickly caught on to our fast, moving Primary Care clinics. She came in during cold/flu, which was difficult in and of itself, but she survived the CRAZY and has been flourishing, as she has been growing her skills/strengths every day thereafter. She brings traits to this bunch that makes us all grateful for her presence.
She has carried many roles with her college degree, such as Activities Director in healthcare settings. This led to Dr. B even recently considering a new role, such as "PTO" (Provider/Team Organization) Leader of the Healthy Human...as caring for others and bringing them JOY, "fills her bucket" and SOUL.

She has an electric smile and a calm presence as she welcomes in our patients and community members at the Healthy Human on 407 S. 19th St in Blair. You will find her bringing caring, kindness, and charisma to the HH front desk, in Blair, Monday through Thursday.
Before the HH, Julia had her hands full raising her son, Mason, while she was a stay at home momma for years. Being at work makes her ENJOY EVERY MINUTE with Mason she can get, since her life and his, looks different these days. Julia is married to a hard-working, self employed husband, Dr. Brock Lewis DDS. Together they own a growing dental clinic in Blair.
Patrisha Zuhlke, Receptionist & Medical Admin Assistant.
Patrisha, otherwise known as "Trish" to all of us at the Healthy Human, joined the HH Crew as a PRN employee at the HH MedAesthetics & Market in late November 2024. This quickly transpired to a PRN role at both the above named clinic/market, as well as helping on phones at the DPC. By late summer 2025, she become a Full-Time employee at the downtown location on Washington St where she helps in EVERY possible way....from greeting patients and HH Market customers, to answering phones, stocking shelves and organizing inventory, assisting the Nursing staff or the Providers with room set up and tear down, and so much more! We love her organization skills, her quick problem-solving ability, "mover and shaker" mentality, as well as her kind heart AND her "smile for days." It ALL goes a LONG way at the HH to help tie together all of her position/roles and the abundant social interaction involved.
Trish does NOT fall short on experience, as she has worked in a medical environment that includes clinic and hospital settings, as well as many position/roles in Retail and Food Services. FUN FACT: Historically, she was self employed as a Cosmetologist/Salon Owner, so from time to time you may find her helping with curling irons and hair spray at our HH Photo shoots.
Trish and her husband, Mike, have 2 daughters named Mikenna and Izabella, as well as a younger son named, Kain. They also hailed from a small community in NE before moving to Blair. However, Trish is orginally from Ohio. When she is not at the HH, you might find Trish at Scooters coffee, or enjoying one, as she makes her way through town. And last but not least, she is a proud owner of a JEEP....so she fits right in with Dr. B and her love for awesome vehicles.
Mindy Bosanek, Family Nurse Practitioner & HH Aesthetics Nurse Injector.
Mindy a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE in 2010. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE for her undergraduate studies, as well as her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

Mindy has experience in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Surgical Specialties, and Aesthetics. She has also attended a mission trip at the ILLAC Center in the Dominican Republic for dermatology. When she is not at the HH, she is working Full Time at Childrens Hospital coordinating their busy operating/surgical schedules. She also injects in Omaha at another Aesthetics location. Busy, Busy Bee.

“I'm excited to form lasting relationships with individuals and families in my community, and help them maintain health throughout their life,” Bosanek says. We are delighted to have her expertise and charisma added to our HH team. She will focus on providing injectable Aesthetic options, both Fillers and Neurotoxins, in the Blair and Ashland clinic locations.

Mindy lives in Blair with her husband, Ted. They are the proud parents of 4 children, whom include Tayler, Hayen, Easton, & Elinn.
WHY DIRECT PRIMARY CARE (DPC)?
Doctors are Frustrated. Patients are frustrated.
Direct Primary Care is an innovative practice model which allows patients to contract directly with their healthcare provider and NOT involve insurance companies.
We accept all patients with private insurance plans, but we DO NOT BILL insurance for our medical visits & advice.
We do allow patients with Medicare and Medicaid, however, again please note that we do not bill insurance,
nor state entities, and will be considered a personal expense to the patient.
In this alternative payment model, patients pay a monthly membership fee, and/or Cash pay services for a second opinion/consultation or one-time only visit.

DPC takes out the middle man, and cuts through the layers of complexity.
It allows The Healthy Human to go back in time to old-fashioned family medicine,
and patient-friendly customer service.
Included in the monthly fee, depending upon Primary Care services vs "Focused"/Specialty services, patients have easy access to their provider and staff via phone, email, video chat and in-person visits. There are NO visit co-pays and many in office tests ARE included in the membership!
Cash Labs are offered at deep discounts when compared to insurance-based prices.
Joint Injections, procedures, and other typical costly services in the Primary Care and Specialty setting ARE AFFORDABLE in the DPC model with Dr. B and/or Sandy, PA-C.
Pharmacy Options: In addition to providing accessible, quality health care, the HH Direct Primary Care clinic has the option to dispense Rx/Medications and Supplements on-site to help save "healthcare dollars" for our patient panel.

We believe in Price Transparency. Ask about any ancillary fees, Rx/Med fees, Procedural fees, etc and we will get a quote to you immediately. We are also ALL small town born/raised, and we would be more than happy to discuss payment plan options and/or membership discounts with anyone to see if we if can find a happy medium for those in need.

This means you can start your 1:1 care (Dr. B performs ALL her own OB visits) here before pregnancy, with Pre-Conception counseling to get your body ready for a healthy pregnancy. And if you feel a connection with "our Crew, " we can go onto provide your obstetric/prenatal, as well as perinatal/postnatal needs, which includes your delivery.

Dr. B has privileges to deliver locally at MCHHS (Blair), vaginal or cesarean section options are provided.
​
Post Delivery/Postpartum: Dr. B performs inpatient hospital visits for newborns, inpatient/outpatient circumcisions, as well as well child checks/personalized pediatric care that your child deserves. With more than 20 yrs experience, Sandy Henry, PA-C will also help provide 1:1 Pediatric Care that you an count on!
